Nestled in a 16th-century town house, La Salamandre welcomes you to the historic centre of Orléans, a stone's throw from Sainte-Croix Cathedral, Place de la République and the quays of the Loire.
This charming guest house takes its name from the emblematic animal of the Renaissance, a discreet reference to the timeless elegance of that era and to François I, the emblematic king of the period.
Here, time seems to stand still. The old beams, the herringbone parquet and the natural light filtering in through the high windows create a luminous, refined and soothing atmosphere. The authenticity of the place meets comfort to offer an experience that is both simple and refined.
The house has five bedrooms
Three of them have a soft, natural feel: beige and white tones, a jute rug and a refined décor give them a peaceful, minimalist feel.
The other two have a sunnier, warmer feel, with a golden ochre bed runner, white linen and a simple, welcoming style.
They all invite you to relax, take it easy and simply enjoy the calm of the place.

My career has been guided above all by a passion: welcoming and sharing.
I spent over 15 years in the restaurant business, as head chef at the family restaurant "Le Modigliani" in Paris 14ᵉ, where I developed real culinary expertise, particularly around pasta and convivial cooking. This experience gave me a taste for work well done, but above all the desire to create moments of conviviality around the table.
In 2008, I followed my husband abroad for professional reasons and spent 13 wonderful years there. During this expatriation, I cultivated the pleasure of entertaining: organising dinners, preparing brunches, and welcoming friends and family in a warm atmosphere. I was often asked enthusiastically: "When are you going to open a guest house?
On my return to France, the rental of my flat on Airbnb confirmed this intuition. Travellers appreciated not only the comfort of the place, but also the quality of the welcome, expressing their satisfaction through positive reviews.
Today, through LA SALAMANDRE, I want to share this exceptional place with you and make every stay a memorable experience, where modern comfort, old-world charm and a sense of hospitality come together.
That's how my project was born: to open LA SALAMANDRE, a guest house housed in a XVIᵉ century mansion in the heart of the historic centre of Orléans. Carefully renovated by enthusiasts, it has retained all its authenticity and elegance.

Every morning, a home-made breakfast is served in the lounge, through the arcades and columns. In a serene atmosphere, lulled by a few soft jazz notes in the background, time stretches out, calm and light.
We carefully select fresh, local and seasonal produce:
- traditional breads,
- crispy pastries,
- ripe fruit,
- home-made jams,
- regional cheeses,
- freshly squeezed juices and homemade sweets.
And, every morning, delicious homemade brioches release a gourmet fragrance that naturally invites you to come down and enjoy them.
